Overview
Since that first encounter, Shake Shack has always been a favorite place of mine to go to. Whenever it was my birthday, I would get my favorite items along with their Shake and enjoy that as my celebratory meal. As I have grown as a creative, I have been learning to mesh the world of Art and Design into cultivating new ways to tell stories.
Aside from other projects I have worked on for school and through clients, I always wondered how people get their art so big on the side of a building. After doing my first mural in 2020, I made a goal that I would try to create murals and have one exist in an environment.
For this passion project, I wanted to create was a mural for a Shake Shack grand opening. I developed a new style from previous projects and wanted to incorporate a similar feel. I took inspiration from old and new projects to create something unique and on brand for Shack.

Projects
I didn't have a plan to start with. I gathered thoughts, drawings, scribbles - whatever I could put on the page. I got to thinking of the processes I had from my previous work and implemented them here. The goal I had was to create a mural incorporating elements of Shake Shack while capturing the fun, excitement, and overall mood one would experience at their location. I added icons and additional elements until I crafted something I was proud of. Once I had finished, I applied the artwork to a mural mock-up l and was happy with the results.
Below are some of the earlier iterations I had for the mural. You can see how I was inspired by Haring and Basquiat for the designs.

Expanded Concepts
I was excited to see the mural completed. The only thing left for me to do was to apply the design to a mockup and call it good. After some early applications of expanding the designs into a system, I gave the same treatment across many use cases. Some more outside the box than others, but still a fun explore.
