AYX’22: Internship Work

During the summer of my Junior Year, I had the opportunity to work on various projects. Some of those projects supported events like trade shows, internal programs, and retreats.

The work below I created was used for various events and tradeshows. My proudest work that came out of my time was creating designs for our merchandise for our “Next Leader’s Retreat” which took place at the headquarters in Irvine, CA.

PLAYLIST

COVERS

During the summer of ‘22, I created several playlist covers for our class. It was a fun way of connecting and collaborating with my peers.

A favorite highlight of mine was creating a collaborative playlist in which we had all of our favorite summer-themed tracks. My peers have great music taste - even the recruiters added their favorite tracks.

TEAMS

BACKGROUNDS

When I originally came on, I created a design to commemorate coming on as an intern. As I went through the program, I continued to produce special images to celebrate holidays like Pride Month, highlights from our trip, and even a goodbye background.

SPECIAL EVENTS

& TRADESHOW

There were a few events where I was tasked with creating some special merchandise. Some of those designs included bandannas, playing cards, and corn-hole boards for the main office based out of Irvine.

The merchandise items inside the Alteryx Bus: A tote bag with the badge design, a bucket featuring our bus, a water bottle with our bus and custom name engraving on the top, a custom hoodie [not pictured] and a sticker sheet with custom designs made inspired by our location of Orange County. All designs were placed onto Eco-Friendly items.

Don’t get me wrong, I had a blast working on projects for other occasions but my favorite was getting to do design work for our retreat at headquarters. After gaining recognition from previous works (playlist covers and teams backgrounds), the Early-In-Career team wanted me to be involved with creating merchandise we would receive onsite. It was a lot of fun working with my art director to create the designs for these items!

The merchandise we designed included a sticker sheet, a reusable tote bag, a reusable water bottle, a bucket hat, and a hoodie. Below are some of the initial concepts I created alongside my art director!

Here’s some of my favorite highlights below:

Seeing the designs on the Ice Cream Parlor was a genuine treat. It was surreal seeing the designs I worked on everywhere!

The corn-hole boards I designed with the team at headquarters! First time seeing them in person!

And some more fun pics below:

A Recap:

As I signed off as an intern, I heard from my peers, recruiters, executives, and coworkers how much of an impact I made. It was incredible to be able to work alongside talented people. I truly cherished the time I had with everyone.

It was hard saying goodbye, though I did land a return offer post-grad! For my first internship, I’m proud of the work I created, the networking I did throughout, and the friends I made along the way.
