Inspire is one of, if not our biggest event for our company. The event allows us to showcase updates to our products, bring in new clients, and demonstrate how our product can help businesses conduct their processes easier and save millions. In preparation for this event, I worked on a variety of items, from custom shirts for our customer advocacy groups, to name badges, social promos, and even custom sneakers for giveaways. While it was a bit of work, it gave me great experience working with items needed for these tradeshow events.

Overview

Below are some of the items I worked on in preparation for this event. I worked on several items for different areas, like general items we would use (name tags, badges, table cards), custom event items (T-shirts for our Customer Advocacy group, sneakers for our giveaway), and even promos used throughout our social channels. This allowed me to see and work behind the scenes of this major event. While tedious, I got to have some fun working on different items for this event.

Promos

Here are some of the promo images. The topics of the promos varied, whether it highlighted which presenters were talking, special summits within the event, or when you could access the recordings from the keynotes to view later. Across the images that we used, we tried to keep our branding for this event fairly consistent with the uses of our colors and brushstrokes.

Event Items

For the items needed onsite for the event, I worked with my art director to create items like name badges, table cards, and even holding screen items for the monitors

Working on these various items gave me insight into what’s needed for these major events. I learned more about the different specs required for each deliverable and the best way to set them up for print. What was rewarding was seeing the attendees with these items from our socials.

Custom Items

During Inspire, we would host breakout sessions for our specialized groups or events. Some of those events included our customer advocacy group (ACE), Obscura - a niche group of superusers who have made neat inventions using Alteryx Designer, and even Sneaks- a time where we showed sneak peeks of our new additions to our platform.

For these events, we created more custom items like shoes for a giveaway, an 8-bit interface for the Sneaks presentation, and a shirt highlighting the wacky nature of Obscura. These items I worked on allowed us to branch out from what we normally produced and create an awesome experience for attendees.

One of the rewarding aspects of working on projects like these is seeing the attendees enjoy the visuals and items given out. It’s cool getting pictures like these to see how they enjoyed the experience!
